Arrive in Chengdu, a nice leisure city; Your guide meets you at Chengdu shuangliu airport, about 30 minutes drive to the downtown, check in your hotel and relax.

The rest of the day, you can experience this leisure city, taste the famous delicious food of Sichuan, in the evening, you can appreciate Sichuan Opera, with wonderful performances such as face changing, fire spitting, etc. ( Show time 8:00p.m. - 9:30p.m.)

Set out from Chengdu to Tibet; Drive on the Chengdu-Ya'an Express Way, enjoy the rural scenery of western Sichuan Plain, pass Ya'an city, famous rainy city, then enter the mountain area. Drive across the 4.1km long tunnel of Mt. Erlang, heading for Luding. If you take interest, stop for a short visit to the Luding Iron Chain Bridge over the Dadu River. Arrive in Kangding, the gateway to Kham and Tibet.

Drive uptwards, en route, the snow mountains, glaciers and high land lakes form a splendid picture in your eyes. After crossing Mt. Zheduo(4298m), arrive at the paradise for photographers—Xinduqiao,
lucky enough, you'll see the amazing scenery of sunset; make photographing of this pretty small village.

Get up early in the morning, see sunrise, shoot the morning view of Xin du qiao village. Enjoy breakfast.

Drive to Yajiang city then enter Yarlong River ravine, come over the Jianziwan pass(4658m).

In the afternoon arrive at the world highland city –Litang(4014m).
If you come here in the first week of August, you can meet the Horse Racing Festival held at this time each year;

Continue to drive to Batang which is a better place to stay overnight as the altitude is lower than that of Litang.

Drive upstream to Bangda, a town junction where Lhasa connects to the Chamdo-Kunming Highway. Cross Gama la Pass(4618m), pass Baxio, we'll meet a stunner—Ranwu Lake.

Ranwu Lake, the pristine waters, spectacularly crystal blue lake cupped by snow peaks. Freshly caught fish served in lunch. Wander along the Poto chu Valley at Tramog(2743m), located deep in the thickly forested gorge of Parlung Tsangpo with glacier waterfalls streaming from the mountainsides. En route visit Midui Glacier and Midui village. This part is with the most beautiful scenery along Sichuan-Tibet south road.

Go down several hundred meters, reach the lowland jungle settlement of Tongmai. When cross the Serkhyem la Pass(4515m), we will have spectacular views of Mt. Gyala Pelri(7151m) and Mt. Namcho Barwa(7782m). Late in the afternoon arrive in Nyingchi, Bayi town.

Bayi -- Bamsum-tso Lake -- Lhasa

Sightseeing of Nyingchi, Visit the Giant Cypress; On the way back visit Bamsum-Tso, which is reputed as Oriental Switherland.The lake and its surrounding views are so beautiful! Drive ahead to reach Lhasa.

In the evening, have a walk at the Polata Plaza, get a night view of the Palace.

Set out from Lhasa, come over the 4990m high Gangbala Snow Montain, drive ahead to Yamdrok Lake, on an altitude of 4441m, with the prettiest water, as clear as suet. Blue water, snow mountain, unique Tibetan villages, flocks and herds all the way; Then back to Chushui Bridge, along Yalungtsangpo River, pass Gyangtse town, get to the second city of Tibet—Shigatse.

Morning visit Tushilunpo Monastery, the most important temple in Shigatse, built in the year 1447, center of the Banchen Lamas. On the way back to Lhasa, visit a local Tibetan family, chat with them, experience their daily life.
