Tibet entry permit, also TTB permit, there are two pages for one person. It is issued by Tibetan Travel Bureau to allow tourists from Taiwan and other countries to enter Tibet, but it's only in effect in Lhasa area. When you fly to Tibet, you need the permit to purchase the flight ticket; when travel by land you need to show it at the check-in passé. It generally takes a week to get it now,2-3 days also could be done if in emergency, and needs copies of your passport, Chinese Visa, and occupation info. 

 

    

 

PSB Permit, also the Alien's Travel Permit, which is issued by the People's Security Bureau, is needed when you travel out of Lhasa area regions such as Nyingchi, Tsedang, Gyantse etc It needs your original passport, so it only can be arranged after you arrive in Lhasa. 

Military Permit is needed when you travel to the un-open areas such as Mt.Kailash area, issued by military affair office.
